I work at the Burnham Institute for Medical Research in the laboratory of Dr. Adam Godzik in the bioinformatics and systems biology program.
Some of my research interests are:
+ the evolution of regulatory pathways involved in development and defense (e.g. apoptosis, innate immunity)
+ the evolutionary dynamics of protein and genome architectures
+ the evolution of complexity
+ automated sequence function prediction
+ phylogeny reconstruction
+ furthermore, I enjoy writing software, particularly in Ruby and Java
